Let’s walk through our design process:

Step One: On site analysisTransit Used on site

After our initial meeting, we will either meet with you on your home site, or closely study a site map and plan for a review of the property. This will give us an opportunity to discuss what it is you find most appealing about the location, and to touch on the opportunities, and the constraints the land affords the project.

This allows us a chance to see your vision for the property, and gives us a chance to review the overall project objectives, and how each issue such as wind, sun direction, views, and slope of the land affect them.

We will then discuss the direction of your design, and we can then either continue with your idea, or help you mold cohesive package which will both meet your desires, and keep the project budget exactly where expected.

Step Two: Conceptual plans and elevationsSketch on paper

Sketching of basic floor plans and elevations.

Following our initial meeting, the next step is to put together a preliminary sketch and block out rooms and spaces. You and our design team can begin the process of taking the project from ideas and dreams into reality.

Cleaning the design blueprintStep Three: Refining, clarifying and detailing the design

After returning back to the office, we will continue working with you to further refine the design. New drawings and design concepts can be e-mailed, faxed, over-nighted, or preferably, posted to an individualized client web page for quick response, and less opportunity for file transfer issues and delays to the project.

Finalizing the DesignStep Four: Construction Documentation

Once the concept designs are approved, construction documents will be prepared for the project. Drawings are prepared using the latest in building information modeling (BIM) computer aided design (CAD) software to help assure the highest level of technical accuracy, and detailed cost analysis take-off. When combined with our knowledge of the best building methods and practices, or working with your desired general contractor, we will establish construction documents that will help create a detailed road map to a successfully completed project.

Whether your chose to go with our team to build your home, or if you decide to use your own general contractor, you can rest assured we will work with you in every way possible to assure your project goes just as it should.
